Captain Ivy-Grace

Hello, my name is Ivy-Grace and I live on a small 9-acre homestead tucked away in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina.

When my husband and I were looking for our current home, one of my “must haves” was plenty of room for chickens! One month after moving into our house, I brought home a box of 10 Easter Egger chicks and have been head-over-heels ever since.

When the pandemic hit in 2020, my husband and I were laid off and chicken keeping quickly became a therapeutic passion. I rescued many in-need or disabled birds to give them the best quality of life I could, as well as started many new project breeds.

We now have a wide variety of breeds, and also offer many quality birds and hatching eggs – big and small. It doesn’t matter if it’s your first or 100th – nothing more exciting than watching baby chicks develop and hatch!

There is so much that goes into chicken keeping – including making sure your chickens maintain a solid diet. We believe in free ranging our birds so they can learn to forage for themselves and also helps cut down on feed costs. Some birds require a higher protein diet – which is where COOHGRUBS come in! COOHGRUBS provides a high protein snack that my birds are OBSESSED with.
